It was only day one of a three day trip, when at noon today, a Yellowfin Tuna slammed a Cabellito, goggle eye to you easterners. After a 1 hour and forty-five minute fight, Keith brought the fish to gaff, with full compliance of IGFA rules. The fished taped out to 255 lbs at 72.5 inches and 52 in girth. So we made a direct run from 15 miles NW of El Banco to the scales at Paradise Village Marina. The fished weighed 241.3 lbs and easily surpassed the prior record of 190 lbs 2 oz. Keith will be submitting all of the necessary paperwork to IGFA and hopefully will be awarded the record. Unless of course he manages to surpass that weight over the next two days.
