Pelagic Does Bluefin Eh?

Just got some pics from Ron and Tony and their epic trip to the east coast of Canada chasing giant bluefin. In their words - "One of the most epic bites we have EVER SEEN!!!!"

I got the invite to go this year, but had my steelhead trip scheduled. Next year Mike and I are going to hit the rivers for Steelies, and then hop over to eastern Canada for some giant action. It's shaping up to be a Canadian September Session for 2011!!!

Congrats to the Pelagic boys for kicking some serious Canadian bluefin ass!!!

What I would have paid just to be there to listen to Berkowitz as he fought that fish. I could listen to him all day.

Actually after reviewing the photo i see that his mouth is actually closed. I find this terribly hard to believe. Must be a trick of the light or something.

And they released 15 others over 3 days from 800 - 1100. That's a lot of tuna helper dinners!
