PEI & Nova Scotia Giant Bluefin 2012

Still working on tweaking some pics, content, and whatnot but we are officially OPEN FOR BUSINESS for our 2012 Giant Bluefin season. As most of you know, this fishery is not to be missed and as it is an extremely short season i would suggest booking early to guarantee you get the prime dates!!!

I have partnered up with the Boyd family out here in Nova Scotia and we will be taking our operation to the next level in 2012. Brothers Rob and Mark Boyd have a tremendous wealth of experience chasing giants in these waters and I am happy to announce that we will be fishing together for many years to come. We will be outfitting one of the Boyd's boats this winter with a tower, outriggers, and brand new Release Marine chair. As always, Tracy Melton will handle the tackle and equipment and we will be offering a complete line of stand-up gear as well as our chair gear for anyone wishing to tackle these giants on stand-up.

We plan on starting our season in PEI as the fish move into the straight in early August, then move over to Nova Scotia to fish the Bank and the Ridge, and plan to end our season in late October out of Cape Breton to target these fish as they depart the straight and head back into the open Atlantic.

As the work progresses on the boat I'll keep everyone updated, we have lots of great surprises in store for next season so stay tuned as things happen! We will be taking bookings from August 15th - October 31st so shoot me an email or phone call to secure your dates NOW before prime spots become unavailable.

It's a bright and sunny day over here today in Nova Scotia, and there's just enough time left before I head to Mexico to chase one last giant or two before we wrap things up for the winter. It's been an absolutely incredible season over here this year, and i can't tell you all how much i'm already looking forward to next August!!!! Hope to see some of you over here too....

Capt Rob Boyd and his cousin Ron Boyd scored a 800# class fish today for the market. Dressed weight was over 650!!! Great way to end the season boys!!!

Just received a late report from Capt AJ Francis and Johhny Gavin they scored a 500# class fish today as well. Nice work in Canso boys!
