    New Caledonia

I have fished everywhere around the USA. So Age gave me the idea of going jigging and popping is New Caledonia. Great idea the wife and I went down for 7 days. Fished 4 days and did the vacation thing for 3.

Sami did all my gear and had me ready to go. Age prepared me mentally. And Capt. Hooker (JT) well??? He was there in spirit.

Fished with Rudy, one of 2 brothers that runs LPB down there. We fished our butts off everyday, left the marina at 5:30am and came home at 17:30. We only fished huge poppers and 9 to 11 inch stickbaits. All put one of the fish came on a stickbait. There are some monster GT downs there. They are still there cause all of the fish that were between 30 and 45 kg I lost. I've never hooked anything as strong as these fish. We fished 15 to 18kg of drag so when they did hit they almost pull you out of the boat.

Enjoy the picks, we had a great time. Im going back next year for 2 weeks. Gonna fish a week in the south and a week in the north.

    Last couple pics.......

I can't thank Age enough for the idea to go. You're going next year brother.
Sami got my reels ready, got me the perfect rods, all my leads, and anything else I needed.
If anyone of you wanna fish the best down there u have to fish LPB. Awesome guys and they can put you on the fish.

Damn dude...screw being there in spirit, Age and I are stowing away on that trip next year. Those pics are INSANE.

Jenny is so beautiful she even makes you look attractive, and that's not easy to do.

Living the dream Jeffries, living the dream.

How's that surf over there? That shot of the back of the wave looks gnar gnar. Any bonefish over there too?

    Shit!

Surf over there is crazy on 2 parts of the island. The reef around the island it goes from 20m to 1m in a few yards. With huge swells.

Lets do it buddy, I'm taking my little girl, get the families together and go.

There were also some yellowfin around small but you could catch them all day.

I walked a flat with Rudy on a day off. They have huge bonefish over there. Not the numbers in the bahamas but huge fish. Awesome place man

That is sick... nice size GT's. Good work! You getting out on your yellowfin out of Sarasota much? They opened up the middle grounds again to fishing since the oil spill and we are looking to go this weekend, weather permitting. You do much bottom dropping in the Gulf?

    Sonofa...

Remote location, surf, inshore and offshore fishing, bonefish, GT's, marlin and tuna?....and bikini weather? Yeah, that sounds like a must see to me.

I'll start brushing up on my Francais.
