    NEW CABO RECORD

Our record 318 Lb Yellowfin in the Los Cabos Tuna Jackpot was smashed today by a 35 Cabo named FISHERMAN. The Fish weighed 383 on the Scalemaster. Very close to the All Tackle record. Beyond the usual prize money, they will also recieve an additional $75.000 from Costa Del Mar for setting the new tournament record. Pretty awesome. Wish I was down there. Not going to miss it next year. CONGRATS to the team and Captain!!!

They were in all the pots but the $2,000 and $10,000. The Costa Del Mar pot is $50,000, not $75,000.

    Good Lord

Thats a Cow Alright .........wonder if it weighted 400 when caught and shrank on the way in . I hear these fish can loose up to 10 of thier body weight in the hot sun if not properly stored in ice. Im guessing no one has a cooler large enough to put that beast in so it probably laid on the deck for several hours ............Dang thing looks like its 400# next to that 5 ft Mexi Captian.

    Way to Go

Wonder what it was cought on and how long it took to reel in ??????

According to Pisces Sportfishing, it was caught on a 2 lb Bullito (small Bonito). A Penn 80 2-speed, bent butt rod and 100 lb test. It took 1 hour and 35 minutes to reel in. It was boated around noon and they were at the scales when they opened at 2:00.
