I grew up in the tobacco fields of South Carolina and worked through college at Clemson University experimental station. I can attest that those are some pampered plants. I would love to see that in person, I can imagine the aroma pouring out of those stick barns. Very nice set up.

A cup of Kona coffee in the morning and one of those for a mid-afternoon break, ah yeah gonna have to order a box of those jewels.

I'm currently developing the Cabos cigar blends with our factory. Blend's that will suit both the occasional cigar smoker and the hard-core cigar enthusiast. I been fortunate to have worked with some great Cuban cigar-blenders thru out the years and have access to the finest Cuban-seed tobaccos our ratings in major cigar publications is a testament to that.

But Cabos will be unique because its geared to boating and fishing. That means a cigar that won't roll off the deck a square cigar or "box-pressed" as it's called. Also aluminum tubes are great for keeping a cigar in it's ideal humidity but also keeping water off the cigar on the boat but most manufactures charge a super-premium price for aluminum cigar-tubes. With Cabos cigar the aluminum tube holds a practical reason not just a "neat" gift. I'm working to source a nice square cigar tube that wont be rolling off your deck and wont be over priced.

Having grown up around the Ocean here in South Florida and always around family and cigars and fishing. I've experienced all of the above. As far as the actual cigar, I hope we can have Cabo cigar out on the market before the summer. Launching a new cigar brand with a completely new concept geared to sport-fishing life-style does have its challenges and I want to make sure Cabos cigar is the same quality cigar like our families Padilla brand.

Seeing what JT is doing and has done makes me excited to have him be a big part of this new brand.

So, on occasion I have some time to go out on our Grady-White and hope maybe that one of JT's monster Tuna's has taken a long wrong turn and ends up on our side of the world here in South Florida.

We did just get some Cabos cigar caps in and I'll post some pictures for you. The posters, caps, shirts and mostly cigars and madness... coming soon!

    Adios amigos,
    Padilla
