    Lake Charles to Venice...

Had a great adventure last week on a transport/work the kinks out trip on 'Turnin' 2 Da Right' over to Venice from Lake Charles....rough conditions made it a looonng run but by thursday we were pulling lures in blue water and having fun putting the first blood on the boat. A cool and swolen Mississippi gave us some nice fog to contend with followed by a hail and lightning thurnderstorm to wrap up the trip and complete her baptism.

While at the dock friday 'Pipe Dream' showed up with a PIG of a tuna that left us wanting more...

Yesterday was inshore birthday fun back at the stomping grounds in TX for Daniel, the redfish, blacktips and coronas proving plenty of entertainment for everybody.

Back in Venice tomorrow for round #2 and oh yes, its bout to be on like donkey kong....

Anthony-you passed me on Friday morning I believe just south of the 93s, east of the midnight lump. We were headed offshore; looked like you were headed to either southwest or tiger pass. We got the **** kicked out of us that day! Was foggy when I pulled out of Venice marina that morning so we ran red pass and what a mistake that turned out to be. Current was rippin and takin solid 5's on the nose until south of 93s. Saw the boat at Cypress Cove the other night...let me know when you're gonna be back. I'm headed back that way Thursday night.

Thanks JT, glad you like the pictures! Have a safe and memorable trip to Panama!!

Rob - Im working on getting there for the tournament, will no doubt be off the hook and the marlin bite is really starting to show it's face around there..

Woody- Freakin wx always have to throw off the plans! That was me in the cockpit that morning that threw yall the deuce, also just saw you guys again over by ursa couple days back, look forward to chugging a beer or six back with you and Hunter.

Round 2 was more of the same, have to get the footage downloaded and sorted...tuna up to 100+ and some mahi, we had trouble finding the bills - shouldve gone somewhere else. A boat a friend of mine was on went 2-6 on blues, and 1-2 on whites!

I have been spending a bunch of time on the deck of the Over Ride, parked one or two down from you. Have you met Ryan yet? I'm sure you have. Anyway, I'm in Key West until Monday. I usually head over to Cypress in the evenings after I'm done with all my stuff over at VM. I like hearin from all you rich private boat marlin-obsessed maniacs

    Yall fishin Cajun Canyons?

Ahahahaha! Enjoy Key West. Ryan's a great guy, he's back from home port in Surfside also and he still needs to show me all his black marlin footage from his time in Australia.

I still think private planes and big boats are nowhere near as fun as wet bean bags and bibs.

Still dont know about the tournament yet for sure...I hope to be there, if I am we will certainly get krunk. LOL
