I returned last night from 5 days in Panama with Josh, Ben and the Ocean/Go Fisch crew. It was awesome to say the least. Josh headed back to PV for a couple days so he's probably busy playing catch up but I'm sure he will post a report. I'll leave the details to him since he has the way with words but the quick recap is that we ended up with two blacks about 300 and 450 and missed a bunch more marlin and a few sails. We had about 3 solid shots a day but just some bad luck on pulled hooks, broken leaders, etc. You could have caught 50 lb tuna all day long and in addition to plenty of those we had three nice ones going about 115lbs, 160 and 230. We saw a lot of action and had a great time. Josh and the crew were a lot of fun to fish with. Here are a some of the good pics and I'm sure Josh will post more.
Thanks for the report Seevee, but you left us wanting more
Some of us are heading down later this week and need more details! Were you trolling? Live baiting? How were the accomodations? Any inshore action?
Great pics by the way
Looks like a fun trip and they are some stud Tunas, great pics. I love the towel under the tuna's mouth.......

OK now I'm excited!! Thanks for the pics! Have one question were the pics of the cases of beer taken at the end of your trip? Hope so cause that is about what DD and myself will be needing for the night we get there![]()
lilarcher pretty well summed up the accomodations. The ship is awesome, comfortable and great food every day. We live baited skipjacks and trolled lures for marlin. The biggest tuna came on a live skipjack and the other two big ones were on spreader bars when we were trying to catch smaller yellowfins for bait. The rest of the tuna were caught on smaller live bait. At one point they bridled up a couple 30 lb tuna and one got nailed within 10 minutes of hitting the water but we didn't hook up. We would mostly live bait in the morning and afternoon and troll lures mid day. The tuna were pretty much always around but bigger concentrations of them later in the afternoon. You could have caught a ton of tuna on live bait but after we got the big ones we focused on marlin. We didn't try much for sails since we were mostly fishing larger live baits. No pargo or roosters for us but we only gave it about 2 hours of effort the whole trip. We saw plenty of blues and blacks, we just had a hard time connecting. You guys will have a blast.
Your big tuna didn't have a chance when hooked on that bent butt cow killin Seeker with the black AVET 50w !!!!
That's my personal cow kiler set up I lent to the CAUSE !!!
