HOUSTON (AP)—The Tracy McGrady(notes) era is over in Houston.

The New York Knicks acquired McGrady and his massive expiring contract in a three-team swap with the Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings, a person with knowledge of the negotiations said Thursday. The person requested anonymity because the deal had not been officially announced.

The Rockets will get Kevin Martin(notes) and Hilton Armstrong(notes) from Sacramento and Jordan Hill(notes), Jared Jeffries(notes) and draft considerations in 2011 and 2012 from New York.

That only applies if he rents a place out there, as property tax is a joke in Texas......that's where they get yeah......but still not that bad considering the savings from the state income tax.

Yah believe me Matt, property tax there is nothing compared to here in New York. Nassau and Westchester counties are a joke.. try 20k in property/school taxes on a 600k home.. now that is a joke.

Texas from what I remember is around 2%-2.5% or so.. so trust me, he will be saving on property tax as well.

Either way, as you said,closer to fishing, on a better team, and warmer weather...
