As an official IGFA certified captain i've been thinking a lot about records and there are some WIDE OPEN spots available particularly in the fly fishing department...
Women's blue marlin and black marlin is pretty much wide open as is yellowfin tuna as well...last year we caught a fish on the fly with Don Butts that i see would have eclipsed the current men's 12# tippet record...SONOFA...
Anyway...the marlin and tuna categories are of particular interest to me so if anyone is looking to chase some records this season let's get a plan together...
Not just women either...there's a lot of room out there to fill in some blanks and/or beat the existing records in the men's division as well...
