there are probably more grander blues and blacks caught than 400lb stripes! this was caught out of Tauranga NZ. nice nice fish!

fishing has been awesome for us with a blue each day for 3 days fishing this week here in st maarten but man I have missed the season at home. One of the boys bagged a 340 last weekend as well

    Damn...dozer striper there Mozz.

At least you're fishing! I've been in class all week upgrading my Canadian capt licensing. Lots of fun learning how to use a VHF radio and compass. Wish i was marlin fishing...but what can you do.

Hope to see you up here this summer amigo, or somewhere along the way before then.

12 weeks of class for me. JT, maybe we should take Mozz up on this one? Granted it is a destination that wasnt on the list we had discussed before.

Mozz, did you make the move over to that 60?

Ugh...two months of school, no bueno. Stoked to hear that you got that other gig by the sounds of it Mozz. NICE! I'll be in Panama from the 22nd - 30th, then Cabo, then back to PV. Email me your sched and let's try to make it a triple header.

I'm so ready to head to Panama, it's pouring rain here today and i'm dying to catch a marlin. According to the Canadian govt i can officially read a compass so that's a HUGE worry off my chest let me tell you. Why do i have this feeling that by the time i'm forty i'm going to have more pieces of paper from as many different countries than i know what to do with? Does NZ issue Capt's licenses too? Maybe i should get one while these set and drift calculations are still fresh in the cerebral cortex? At least for this last license i was working in metric!

SVOP, ROC-M, and MED-3. They do not recognize my USCG 100ton license up here so i endured a week of class that taught me how to use the VHF, read a compass, and which side of the boat a green light goes on. Riveting stuff!!! Allegedly these tickets are now good for life, but then again that's what they said last time when we were required to get the SCM ticketing 15 yrs ago. Anyway, it's over and i can now think about PANAMA in a few short days.

Cath took her courses too so she's now an officially licensed capt in Canada. To make matters worse, she got 100% on her exam - the only student to have done so according to the instructor who ran our series of classes - and she's wasted no opportunity reminding me that i only got a 95%.

I cannot win, i tell you.
