    Honeymoon...I want a slob!!

Gentlemen, i hope you dont mind me posting this question in this section. This is just the first place i always come to b/c you guys are consistantly reporting epic catches, which is what i am in search of.

So, took the plunge and got engaged this week...Did it the right way though, on the boat, w/ a nice buzz. Planning on either an early spring or fall wedding (i hate sweating when i have to be dressed in a penguin suit).

I was hoping you guys could give me some advice on honeymoon destinations these times of year that would give me and my girl the best shot at a SLOB on a charter. Probably would fish 1 or 2 of the days. Destination needs to be in Caribbean or Pacific Coast of S. America. Hoping for a monster blue or cow YFT. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I can only speak of the Pacific regions that i've fished, but Puerto Vallarta in the fall is probably the only place in the world where you can have a legitimate shot at a 300 pound yellowfin and 500 plus pound (or MUCH larger) blue and black marlin in the same day.

In all the years i've fished down here in PV, i can't count the number of times that we've had multiple large tunas (over 200 pounds) and multiple black and blue marlin releases in the same day - and the fall is the best time for that kind of fishing.

Panama would be my second choice, they do have great marlin fishing in the fall around Pinas Bay, Montuosa, Coiba, etc. But they do not have the kind of big tuna fishing that PV offers during the fall.

agree with Josh, a fall wedding in PV would be perfect, and its prime time for big fish...of course its fishin and anything can happen.

Not sure about spring bite...i think you are best planning for a fall wedding LOL.

I think Panama has some nice fishing in Jan..but that isnt spring.

PV is nice, your wedding would probably be cheaper, and for the money you save, you can fish on a nice yacht with Josh haha.

    Congrats, and good luck.

The big day is approaching (F-me running!). We will be in Cabo Oct 11-17. Hoping to fish 2-3 days. Recent reports look pretty good. Anybody have any suggestions on a good outfit to hook up with? People have referred me to Picante and Picese which seem legit but also the most heavily marketed...
