Giant Bluefin 2011

Ok guys if you want to do the giant bluefin this fall in the prime location and at the best times let me know quick it's a very limited season and the dates are dwindling fast. These are grander sized fish we're going after here and if the fishing is anything like the last two years we can expect multiple fish in the 800 - 1,200# range each day. The price is $3K per day all-in for fishing, food, drinks, and accommodation, that's for everything, not per person. The boat is a brand new 2011 45' Douchette and just set up with a new Murray Bro's fighting chair and all brand new 130# tackle. The accommodations are ocean front and sweet. The boat and house can handle 6 people but it's preferable to keep it at 4 if we can per trip. Looks like i'm going out for 3 - 4 weeks starting mid-september to help facilitate the program so i'll be there for everyone's trips during the season. I'd recommend fishing a minimum of 3 days. Not to hijack the thread but; my father and I fished up in North Lake for the 2010 open season and it was an absolutely amazing experience! We fished with Jamie and Troy Bruce (Bruce Brothers). Not sure who JT is fishing with up there (everyone up there is pretty much top notch; Tony, the Bruces, Zappa, etc etc), but I will say Jamie and Troy are awesome.

The fishery is nothing short of spectacular. Within 5 minutes of leaving NL Harbor we were hand feeding granders the day before the season opened, and we ended up getting a 912lber on the second day.

We have an EXCELLENT bluefin fishery where I am from;Stellwagen, MA Bay, etc, but going up North was definitely like putting our average day on steroids! I will be up there with a crew fishing the middle of this September with Jamie and Troy and my father has put together a team for the Tuna Cup Tourney the week before I go.

No worries amigo, cool vid! We're fishing with Capt AJ Francis, one of the local natives who the boys from Pelagic hooked up with last year. They had an amazing trip, just like you reported. Capt AJ just got hooked up with a brand spanking new boat, chair, and all the bells and whistles so we look forward to stepping it up a notch this season up there. It's going to be the first of many Septembers that I'll be spending in Nova Scotia from now on. I'm EXTREMELY excited already!!!!

...those boats are Beastly!!! Here is my brother-in-laws, "Indecisive" let’s just say not too many days missed because of weather! Just for perspective, Rip Tide and Robyn Ann are both 40’+ boats as well!!
