Yeah i'm drooling over the photos Tracy's been sending me.

Unfortunately with the new 63 splash date Madeira may be in jeopardy this season now. Oh well, if i have to miss Madeira because we're splashing the new boat i can think of worse things to complain about! Either way i'm stoked, but i would sure love to get over there this season!!!

Epic trip on many different levels........fishing was absolutely insane. Caught over 60 Salmon on the plugs with no flashers.......had we cheated and used the flasher and hoochie set-up, we probably would have caught easily over 100 Salmon. Once we switched over to rockfish, hali's, and Lings, we only had one drop that DIDN'T produce a bottom dweller....BUT, on retrieve back to the surface, Steve hooked and landed a 20lb King.....unbelievable.

BTW, those Vermillion Rock fish in the pictures are monsters, all between 7 - 10lbs. Lings were 10 - 20lbs and Hali's were all about 20lbs. We fished the light gear 98% of the time (Shimano 300 or Avet SX with light rods) so it was a blast.

Major thanks to SteveD and JT......yet another adventure together in one of the world's best fishing destinations......

JT, stick with the no smokes thing. I smoked from 20 to 38(really only when I drank, which was 3 or 4 times a week) and have been smoke free for a little over 2 years and man do I feel better. The hangovers are nothing when it's 12 beers compared to 12 beers and a pack of smokes. Good luck, I had to become a mental monster to kick it!
