First Salmon Trip Of The Year!

Got out on the water this afternoon for a little fishing with Courtney, Andy, and Brennan aka "sleeps a lot". It was a little sporty with 25 knots of wind but Capt Courtney put us on a nice Chinook (king) that soft, government, chicken covered hands couldn't handle. I won't mention any names. (Andy) Thanks for the fun afternoon of fishing Courtney. It's great to be back in Tofino again! Just remember, greasy fried chicken and salmon fishing don't mix!

I really should be doing boat work and getting my Grady in the water, but you know....when someone says "Hey, you wanna go fishing?!?!?!" you just CAN'T say NO!

Good luck with those tests Trevor! Yeah the springs are THICK here in Tofino. We had a great weekend out there, the easter bunny brought plenty of halibut and salmon!!!

If my camera wasn't in the depths of the shipping and repair universe i'd post some pics, sigh....hopefully it gets back soon!!!!

    JT,

How is your Grady looking? You said you were doing work on it.....can't wait to get back up there this summer.

We are heading off to PV this coming weekend. Probably inshore stuff, since there aren't Tuna around with the cold water.

The Grady's all set to go Marty! I had the motors overhauled last fall, just de-winterized them and they are purring like kittens! Just doing a little aesthetic work on the gelcoat, etc. Got a new decal package for the pinstripes and names. Plus I installed a bow pulpit to help with the halibut anchoring, new rod holders, wood trim, she's going to be shiny!!! At least for a few weeks anyway before the blood builds up on her. Can't wait to put her in the water but i'll probably wait until i get back from Panama in early June.

Have a great trip to Mexico, post up a report when you get back!

BTW forgot to mention that we got out again last weekend for limits of halibut and salmon. Fished with Courtney and Dave from the wilderness resort. Great day! First halibut fish and chips feast of the year - you can't beat that!
