    Early season Chinook!!!!!!!

Fishing out in front of Bella Bella, not planning on catching many fish this early in the season, until I looked up and saw my rod tip touch the water and the Islander reel start free spooling as if it was going to burn up!! What a great feeling fighting this beautiful Chinook Salmon!! Theres nothing like an unexpected beauty, basking in the sun at the back of the boat, as if it was enjoying it almost as much as I was! After we got the rods back in the water minutes later the same rod, same depth, hits again, and began another battle on our hands. Fishing is looking like it may be the best we have seen in years! Everyone who has an opportunity to try and catch a Chinook/King salmon should take advantage of it and get to Shearwater as soon as possible!

Book now as space is limited!

    Low numbers

Well there have been some really low numbers coming in the river. Numbers are really down and a lot of people are freaked out. I personally think its too early to tell and it was a late spring which may be throwing things off a bit too, on top of that the river is really muddy so fishing has not been to spectacular.

Well our good early season run seemed to have slowed down on us for now, still working it though, the odd Tyee getting pulled in here but no huge numbers!
