Just finished up an incredible two days of fishing 60 miles south of Vallarta on the Maximo. Plenty of tunas up to 150#'s and some incredible action on blue and striped marlin. Colin Casas (13 yrs old) succeeded in landing a nearly 800# blue marlin (125" x 68.5"). I inadvertently hit the fish with the prop while backing down on her for the release so we opted to kill the fish instead of risk releasing her to die from the injury. Fish tacos for the town of Punta de Mita for new years eve parties allllll night long. Back at it again tomorrow...stay tuned.

That is a beast! Thanks for the great report. Us lure guys want to know what she ate. I see the bright lure in the pics, so I know it was a lure-fish. Details please........lure, color, position, single or double hook rig? Did she switch lures or come in fixated on this one? Hep a brutha out with some dope.
