    NOT ME!!!

    Maybe not a new idea?

When I first saw you pop tarts, I thought I'd seen something like it before. Although not exactly the same as yours, check out these oldies. They were given to me by a friend who told me they were made by a guy in So. Cal. (New Port, I think) back in the 70's. I have them rigged for wahoo, but the action on them is great. I haven't fished them much, but I've caught dorado on the larger of the two. So far, no wahoo though.

    Ahhh FAT CAT......

Thank you for posting some pics of a very popular lure back in the day.I believe they are called Koga heads.

Not a new idea? I will assume your post was just a genuine question laced with respect of course. If not, and you are subtly trying to tarnish my product then I would respectfully decline any type of dramatized debate, which seems to be popular at the moment...especially when lures are referenced.

But, the next time I am in Mex or you are in So. Cal, I would happily share a beer or two and talk regarding the genesis of the Tomahawk;from conception,to design,to the failures and successes that birthed the lure that is on the market today.

Enjoy the sunshine in beautiful Mexico and if you are ever in the neighborhood give me a shout at 949 246-7145 and you can take me up on that beer.

    Peace

No man I wasn't being critical at all. I think your lures are great. I was told that the lures I showed were made by the guy that my friend bought them from. I'd never seen anything like them before, but they swim really well and I'd been wondering why nobody was making anything like them. Then I saw yours. Nada mas.

And I always have ice cold Pacifico at my house, so stop by sometime.

Hey Bill, Timo and I have a couple of those too. We used them in years past before I started to make a lot of the stuff I do today.

Hey Tom, keep up the good work you are definitely on to something.

I hope that some day my creative juices flow like yours have. I wish that some day there will be comments on my lures that compare them to the classics. Keep it up, Mike.

    MARLINSTAR TOMAHAWK BLUEFLY

Swimming in southern waters out of the lone star state, this Bluefly coaxed this teenage Blue to have a little lunch. Thanks to Capt. Jack for always having a camera ready!
