December Mayhem (yellowfin, blue marlin, whales)

Blue water is in super close right now, and the fishing continues to be awesome. Enjoy this little tidbit. Still learning this program so excuse the amateurism.

Again, no JT-sized fish but we are getting a lot closer to lump season when the 200 pounders will show up again...

Most excellent clip captain. Nothing wrong with that butterball gulf yellowfin either!
    Thanks for the fix!

    No doubt! Angry focker

Ran into some sperm whales like that a few weeks ago also. The ones we ran into were super spooky and sounded as soon as we got close.

Very fair trade. Our water is still pretty warm 60 miles+ offshore. 73 and some change, still tons of grasslines and bait. Very summer-ish out there right now. You can catch the blues year round but we generally stop targeting them around end of January as the big tunas move in onto the lump, which is only 26 miles from the pass. Freaking love livebaiting marlin with small tunas!
