There's something in the air in Puerto Vallarta this season amigos. As if the marlin and tuna action weren't enough, the roosters are eating the paint off the boat too!!! Lora had over 30 rooster releases on bait and poppers three days ago, and while we didn't get to 30 yesterday we sure did some damage too!!! Nothing like casting to frenzied schools of roosters with the light tackle and popping rods...too much fun!!!!

Well i might have a steelhead report or two before the next tuna or marlin adventure! I jammed up to Tofino to see the family for a week, i'm headed back down to Mexico on wednesday so stay tuned amigos!!!!

When fishing out by the Marietas, a couple weeks ago, went by Danny Gomez's boat he had hooked about 25 roosters that day, me none. I was fishing for more edible fish like Amberjack, Sierra, Wahoo, Pargo, Dorado, etc. I'll take a rooster every once in awhile for a change of pace, but they are not on my list of favorite fish to eat. Also, didn't fish for Tuna as we, family and I, are kind of tired of eating them. Family is Mexican and they aren't in to sushi yet, and they only eat canned tuna from store!!

The Rooster madness continues we caught and released 8 and had about 15 other bites 2 days ago! Fishing doesn't get much better than that!
