63 Reasons To Be Happy First

They say money can't buy happiness, and i'd have to agree with them.

But lets say you're a happy person to begin with. And then suddenly you find yourself with enough dinero to spend vast amounts of money on things like multi-million dollar, state of the art custom sportfishing yachts, and subsequently vast amounts of time on the aforementioned yacht chasing giant fish around the globe. I'd have to say that if you're happy to begin with, then the wealth, and the boat building, and ultimately the fishing must at least make you happier, if not downright ecstatic!

Such is the case for a few lucky, hardworking souls out there. And I'm just grateful to know a few of them!

We haven't said too much about this project up until now. Frankly we've been too busy fishing, and reporting on a fetus isn't all that invigorating anyway. But the baby is growing, and as she nears the finish line i figure it's time to get to know her a little better, study the ultrasounds with perhaps a little more caution, and start scribbling down a few names.

We went with Weaver for obvious reasons. The most important being he builds an absolutely flawless, kick ass custom performance sport fishing machine. Sleek, efficient, FAST, state of the art, performance orientated, and let's not forget SEXY!

Neither the owner or i have ever met Jim Weaver, or taken a trip to Tracy's Landing, MD to see the facility first hand. That might seem like madness to some, a leap of remarkable blind faith - particularly when millions of dollars are on the table. But when you know the finished product, and have stepped aboard Jim's work firsthand as i have, the options are clear. You let the artist do their thing, and try not to get between the canvas and the paint.

It's been months since Jimmy at Tournament Yacht Sales put this deal together for us, and largely up until this point we've stayed the hell out of the way. But as things take more recognizable shape it's time for us to start traveling and fine-tuning the decision making process, and finally meet Mr. Weaver.

The owner and I are both excited. SteveD is a madman like me when it comes to fishing and we've chased giants all over the place together for years now. With this new boat i do believe we'll be elevating the frequency of ass kicking's we've been doling out between PV and Panama of late, and of course there's always the BEYOND that beckons when new horses like this 63 Weaver join the herd.

Here's the link to the latest photos of the new pony. She'll be powered with Caterpillar C-30's, the tower will be done by Palm Beach Towers once again, and we have spared no expense in amenity or opulence, i assure you. There's a lot more details and photos to follow between now and June, so stay tuned.

JT, when's the first trip out to MD?

I have seen all the plans, specs, pics, etc thus far and that '63 is going to be one sexy, fish killing machine. Can't wait to scrub the toilets for my ticket on Steve's new ride.......hahahaha

Even though my roots are in Carolina, I've always liked the Weavers I've seen on the water--beautiful lines, fast and sexy as hell. She should be a great addition to the fleet there Josh!

Guess that makes you a Commodore now huh?

I agree Swami, i love the Carolina boats too, really Weaver is simply building great Carolina boats, just not in NC.

We went with Weaver because of his reputation, dedication, and my overall gut feeling that it's better to catch these guys in their prime. Weaver's skillet is certainly HOT lately.

Commodore? I like the sound of Pirate better...same potential for fleet growth, but less rules to abide by! LOL
