    405# Yellowfin!

Just got back in email range from our trip to the islands and was blown away to hear that Mike Livingston succeeded in breaking the 400# mark on a giant 405.2# fish caught aboard the Vagabond while they were fishing the southern banks off of Baja near Magdalena Bay. Unbelievable and a HUGE congrats to the capt and crew of the Vagabond, and especially Mike Livingston.

Here's a link to the full report!

Will be interesting to see if it holds up to IGFA scrutiny for the record.

REGARDLESS OF THAT, its a freaking amzing, outstanding, unbelievably awesome accomplishment for the angler.

Good for them and nice to know that YFTs that size have managed to stay out of a purse seiners net!

What a fish! It is nice to know that one made it through the purse seins as MM said.

I know, i know, i know....let's not tell them about that fish Danny had next to the boat last week. I'm sure it'll be 425 by the time we get back there to catch him.

And actually if memory serves Todd Fraser of Bayside, CA had a fish pushing 410 about 8 years ago which the IGFA denied as an official record for some reason. So i'm not entirely certain that this was the first fish landed on rod and reel over 400, but it is still a remarkable catch nonetheless!!!
