Take it easy there buddy, the Station Keeping feature is only as good as the accuracy of the GPS Signal.

That means +/- 3 meters for todays recreational GPS.

The early Zeus protoypes had Mil-spec GPS Antenna's providing an accuracy of +/- 1 meter, but they were pricey $$$$.

No one would recommend Station Keeping in the immediate proximity of fixed obstructions but it would be great while waiting in a channel for a bridge/fuel dock or over a reef/wreck, etc.

even 15meters over a wreck jigging short handed is a boon
how much extra for the mil spec? Is it available in our troubled times?

The high accuracy Mil-spec GPS antenna's were never meant to be an option, just a just a way to showcase the Station Keeping abilities on the protoype models. The main benefits where the accuracy and the refresh rates. Since there are two onboard, it would never be a cost effective option. I can't recall the exact cost of the units, but they were in the ten's of thousands of dollar range.

Some electronics guru could give more detailed info on the cost and availibility to the general public?
