In your opinion what is the best 55'-60' charter boat?

In your opinion what would be the best charter boat to fish the north east canyon, NC and some bahamas. Speed, comfort and economy wise.

I fished this boat a few times. Pretty fast, was comfortable. This boat actually is a charter boat out of ocean city if that tells you anything

I was actually on that boat 3 weeks ago, as our search continues, nice rig that is well thought out for either charter or private. HUGE engine room, enough to put another set of CAT's forward of the existing which is nice.

    sweet for sure

but from a buisness standpoint you will not make money with $875,000. in debt service!
you will need to be competitive so speed and comfort are important. running a single screw boat is a big savings all around!, the LOA if that is the only factor to consider, in my opinion the 60' boat is not going to give you any more fishing days that a 55' could give you due to sea conditions

Very true. I don't know what you think about an express but here is something that brokensheer may like to back me up on.

May not be the fastest boat out there, (hints the name Two Days) but a little bit of TLC and that would be all she wrote. If I had the time and money for it, I would hop on it like flies on sh*t.

If that boat ever does get sold it will be for much less than 875,000. true unless there is an owner that uses it privately and allows the capt. to charter it probably wont make any money. that being said the best offshore charter boats out of oc are all 55-60, Playmate, Moore Bills, Ospry, Marli, Billfisher with the distance you need to run and the seas you sometimes need to run in thats what is needed. that "Marli" is a little less fancy version of the "Press Time" they do pretty well. and there is a reason they call it the "two days" but it is a damn good lookin boat

Anthony, I couldnt agree with you anymore. I would like to give a shout out to Billfisher alone. Their season was in a lack of works; incredible. The only problem with that boat is that it's a sixty two. Sure, lets add another two feet to that sixty, and if we add another three and lets thrown in the D.A Sea. One of my favorite boats in all of OC. The 65' Paul Mann and the Billfisher.
