    Yamaha 115 2 stroke......Need troubleshooting advice

Yamaha 115 2 stroke is not getting full power at top end.
I initially suspected bad fuel as it was running rough. Changed fuel filter, plugs, drained the carbs and cleaned em up. Put fresh tank of 93 octane gas/seafoam and problem was gone. Three full tanks of gas later(running like a scalded dog)....I went back to 87....what I have always run....1/2 way through this tank of gas and now I cant get the boat over 4200 RPM. It kinda pulses between 3800 and 4200.
    Where do I start?

How is the idle? Sounds like you may have a collapsing fuel line or a bad fuel filter. Seafoam may have broken down something in your tank or line. We replace the line in my Opti Max 2 years ago and the fuel line looked like it was full of shellack. Kinda of the same thing, no top end power or RPM

I am having to replace fuel bulbs twice a year now.

Nothing amiss at idle. I am gonna go over to the boat and switch the filter now as well as check the fuel line up front near the tank. Line's new from the fuel filter back and I never even considered the section forward of the filter. I hope it's that simple. Thanks bud.

Easy way to check that is hook it up to a 6 gallon tank if you have access to 1 and see how it runs with that.
