    Who built this boat? "Release"

There is a boat out there called the "Release". I have seen it all over TV and sportfishing Mag and I definitely know that its out of Cabo or some other country in Mexico. I believe it is somewhere near 40 (I think it was a number like 37 but don't base your answer of my guess) something feet. Kinda shaped like a Liberty. I saw it constantly but now that I want to see a picture of it I can't find it anywhere!

I'm pretty sure I know the boat you're talking about...Teak transom, day boat, always looked like a lil Merritt to me

If it's the same boat that I'm thinking of, its out of the Casa Vieja Lodge fleet in Guatemala and its a 37' Merritt. Anyone? Please feel free to correct me if im wrong!

Yes it is a Merritt, one of the Casa Vieja Fleet boats. Fished it with Capt. Chris Sheeder and it's one of the better day boats I've ever been on. Raises fish like a madman and has perhaps the cleanest wake of any boat on the water. Sweet ride!

Tuna Teaser (USCG #286170, Hull #8) was built in 1961 for Art Appleton. She was later known as Born Free, Sachem, Seaquirt, and most recently Release. Presently the boat is in Guatemala.
