mid 1950's 40 footer that his brought a grander blue marlin into montauk but now is mostly fishin stripers with style. Then there is the SEALION. the family that owns this also owned an island in the Bahamas that hosted some fishin tournaments.

Fished with ray again this year and he is one amazing captain. Fished in 6-8 ft seas and the HOBO handled it like a champ. Ray is amazing at 86 years young.

I also believe they made most of there money on liquor importing. I have fished and stayed there a few times and I met the owners. I believe the last name was Abernathy or something like that?Its been 20 years! Too long. Beautiful place walkers. I ran a whitaker up in new jersey way back when called the Buckalot, she was a little slow back then but one hell of a sea boat! Now shes fast as sheit,Last called the boneshaker with more engine.

I worked on the Grander in Montauk. Some of the best fishing days I've ever had were in the cockpit of that 46 Whiticar. To call that boat a fish magnet would be an understatement. 14 giant bluefin trolling clean dead bait off Mass in one day. 8 giants on another day. Simply incredible boat all the way around. Jimmy Grant has her down in Venezuela now catching multiple blue ones every day and she's still raising them like the day she was born.
