i run straight 30 wieght in mine and usually change it 3 times a year- in the spring, then mid to late summer then late fall ( late feb, march are my normal down time, maintenance periods)

I just repowered last year so after the break-in I changed to Mobil 30 synthetic.So far I love it.It cost more but my motors seem to love it.
