    What polish for outriggers?

    Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a product that will remove the "cloudy" appearance on the Lee outriggers I have. I understand there's a protective finish/anodizing on them that is there as a protective barrier. Whats simple and effective?
    Thanks in advance...

I agree with Nixon then I would use Insulator wax. Metal polish if they dont clean up then protect them with insulator wax. Woody wax I wish i could get away with that.

I would and always check with the manufacturer before trying anything different than what is reccomended.

    bottom line
woody wax, shiela shine ,rupp aluma guard all work until you get rained on a few times or run the vessel in salt ,woody will last the longest on any surface over the Rupp and Aluma and works well on non skid surfaces

noxon is typically available at auto supply stores or we find it here locally at Ace Hardware. Definitely follow up with colonite insulator wax, it is awesome. Sheila Shine and Woody wax work well too but the above is my favorite way to go. The colonite metal wax is (in my opinion) better than noxon - takes leess elbow grease to get the shine - but it is also 2 or 3 times more expensive.

sad note - typically once outriggers (Lees or Rupps) get cloudy they are very difficult to restore. You can make them shine up but it will not likely last very long, no matter what you use on them. We polished and protected our new riggers before we ever installed them, and now will redo the process at least 2 or 3 times each year (we just did it 2 weeks ago). That is the only way I know of to keep them shiny for many years

    best of luck
