It's tricky to get the dodger on these these to look right, but this sure does. Flows right into the hull lines.

    Beautiful Boat.
AGREE Jersey Cape got it right on their 45' as well.

There's a bunch of photos of this boat on Spencer Yacht's facebook page. Pretty lines for sure.

Call me old fashion but in lieu of engines and pods being installed under the cockpit deck, wouldn't it be better to have fish boxes on a fishing boat?

A lot of the Carolina boats have the fish box in the transom......

The performance of the pods is insane. Check out the video of the 39' SeaVee Kimbuktu or the one Calypso did.

I don't want to be argumentative, but the capacity of a transom fish box isn't going to satisfy what a 49' express sportfishing boat needs.

That is unless the boat is a purpose built boat for catch and release then it would be ok except for limiting the resale market for such a craft.

Regardless of how great ips drives work, a 49' sport fishing boat should have a place to store a catch.

I'd hate to try to stuff a big eye, thresher, mako or any large tuna into a transom fish box.

I looked a a beautifully built 52' one off custom convertible that a builder took 10 years to build for his own personal vessel. That boat had very small fish boxes and it wasn't as if one could be built into her since the builder placed the fuel tanks under the cockpit deck.

In a 49' fishing boat I'll take a conventional shaft, strut, prop'd set up with fish boxes under the cockpit deck over an IPS boat any day of the week.

i get your point but the reality is that you'll have plenty of room to store fish in the boat. just the indeck fish boxes with ice machine can probabaly store three human bodies. I personally dont like the transome fish box bc it is hard to get around especially with chair. but if you target billfish how much storage do u need. that is why they are custom, this means not only pretty, but tailored to ones needs just like your beautiful boat
