allow me to give a little update here...

after this palmer has given the owner of the boat the "check is in the mail" line since august, yesterday, the owner of the boat got a letter from shamrock, stating they were unable to pay anything to him, they were out of money and they had to close the factory...nice huh ??? real good guy this palmer, right ?? a good buisness man huh ??? he forgot to tell the truth as usual, the county of bladen north carolina took over the factory, due to the fact palmer defaulted on payments,he,as in palmer closed nothing...funny thing though, this lying cheating piece of trash, palmer,he managed to sell off "defiant" boats to a group, and funny thing,he's working for them ??? think about this, this is a guy who ran a company into the ground, lied and cheated people now he's using his skills for another company ???
i urge anyone who's even remotley interested in a defiant boat to reconsider their choice-i can't imagine this company standing behind their product with a scumbag like palmer working for them...i fell bad for the owners of shamrock boats still under warranty, looks like you lost...

the owner of that 246,his name is jim castiglia,he's the president of the townsends inlet yacht club,a memebr of this board,"gettin wet" knows him...if anyone doubts what i have typed regarding this mess,i will provide his phone number to you...also,i will post a copy of the letter that was sent to him from shamrock boats...

what is a warranty worth then?

Jimmy... this might be out of your knowledge base, but do manufactures back there warranty liabilities in any way? A bonding company/insurance? Would it be advised to inquire with the manufacturer when purchasing a boat how they account for this? When I spend my hard earned money with a company that supposedly backs their product but can't provide me any assurance that they'll be a viable entity during the course of the 3-5-or even lifetime hull warranty?

I know we have some brokers/dealer/manufacturers on the site, what's the deal?

    the way i understand it,if a company goes bankrupt,that's it...you lose...

i would urge anyone who is thinking about a defiant boat,to reconsider the choice, with this trash bucket palmer's reputation,i would expect something similar from this company as well...

funny thing,a few guys who really tore me apart,"henriques 38",especially,have yet to reply to any of this ??? wonder why ??? couldn't be due to the fact ,i called it like i seen it with this trash bucket palmer ??? i mean, really, how can you defend trash like him ??? what's next, swindling lunch money from kids ??? swindling old ladies ???
