Before Dave Martin worked with Ocean Yachts I've been told he worked with Egg Harbor also New Jersey.

It appears to be an Egg Harbor 80's timeframe, but modified overhang.

Glad I came across this. I actually am the new owner of this boat and have been searching the net to find more info on it. I as told its a Gulfstream built by dave martin. I have spoken to dave
and he is sending me the original blue prints to the boat. The boat needs some work and I have been looking for some restores in the mystic ct area and only have found a few. If anyone knows
someone please let me know. I will be doing a lot myself but will need expert advise on some areas as this is my first wood boat.

    Thanks
    Jay

Jay, Thanks For joining. I suggest you keep a digital camera handy and start a thread of any issues on your rebuild that pops up. There is a wealth of guys on this site that love seeing good things happen to old boats and a lot of them are very knowledgeable on rebuilding boats and will help as much as they can. Again thanks for joining and i look forward to seeing the work you do to her. Thanks Tim

This is a great site and I am glad I came across it, some amazing boats on here and great work by all. I will start a new thread with pics of the process starting on Sat. I know I will be asking a lot of questions so hopefully no one will get offended with my posts.

    Been there, done that

That boat looks vaguely familure. I owned 2 Eggharbors; a 36' and a 60'. they were both oak frame w/ mahagoney lapstrake. Very excellant boats, used for search and rescue with trained 6 man crew.

suggest that you re-engine with a pair of diesles. haul boat out and fibreglass the hull, it will make it much more liveable! Eggharbors are known to be very stable and great to fish on, also great for family. I know as I have 6 children (now all grown and grandchildren) I made 4 staterooms and 3 heads. Add extra fuel tanks while you can - in the refit stage. This project may takee 1 to 2 years to complete but will be worth the time and money.

I wish you the very best good luck and blessings.
