Seems like the weather just wont let us go fishing, and when it is pretty we aren't booked.......so I started a major project in the shed, I figure a couple of days into it, I won't have any free time to work on it.

So here tis, Piney Ridge Boatworks Hull #1

She will be bout 17' x 6' powered by a 25 horse-4 stroke merc.

I was able to measure Buddy Hooper's decoy skiff to get a rough idea for this rig.

I will update as she progresses.

Hopefully next year she will be the untimely demise of many a quacker.

Cabin fever is running rampant on the forum...next thing you know someone will be critiquing your planking technique and telling you your using the wrong epoxy and she's gonna bust apart as soon as you splash her and you won't be able to find a agent to insure her...etc...etc...

Thanks for starting this project Jay. The mere mention of someone doing something meaningful seems to have shut the fan off. Looks like we are going to get a few days in!

I'm actually a little sentimental right now...my dad used to build 14'-20' boats back in the day...the man could work magic with wood. I even have a newspaper clipping from the 50's when a boat he built in HS was featured in the local paper. Can't wait to see splash day!

Are you gonna plywood over plank?

The plans look a lot like a BC boat except they would be on a brown paper bag..
