I used to have a 29' scarab sport that I loved, similar design in the hulls (sport boat)but with a small Ttop. I know of a regular 38' scarab with I/Os that needs lots of TLC that I can get on the cheap w/trailer. I have thought of turning it into an express style fisher. How does that beast handle with the tower? With that narrow beam and deadrise that things got to to rock and roll pretty bad doesnt it?
I would say it would. One of my boats is a Baja cc with a 24 drg vee at the transom and without any tower that dam thing rocks like hell in a beam sea.Good thing is,its nice to run at 55 mph when seas let you.
I know guys with dedicated Sport Fish boats worth lotsa $$$$$ that havent caught a big wahoo and a 72lb white? My kind of guys. I am in my 3rd season of renovating my 233 1960s formula and its always got fish blood or teak dust on the deck along with fiberglass dust too.
