Volvo QL trim Tabs

For those who are considering the switch, I replaced my Bennets with 2 sets of the Volvo Ql tabs on each side of the of my rig, which is a 45 willis with 450 cummins for power.
They work awesome, I am now able to get the bow out of the water more and mash down the bow( almost 3 ft) when needed. They are seriously fast and leave nice rooster tails to keep the transdom clean.
All hail the Volvo QL.

I have tested both and the Volvo Tabs definitely have more authority when trimming the bow. They take a little more effort on installation, with all those holes to drill. I also like their displays. You can easily "over tab", so take it a little slow at high speed...


Bennett has an Auto Trim Option that can be retro-fitted to existing tabs without too much effort - a nice feature for those who need to be on the tabs alot.

The Volvo IQ tabs are great too when you have a big fish at the back of the boat, they are not in the way like the Bennet tabs. Judge Yachts uses them exclusively.
