Viking 48 v. Jersey Cape 48

Walk down a dock in either OCMD, NC, Fl, and New Jersey and you will see more Vikings then Jersey Capes. I know I am a little bit bais cuase I work on a Viking but come on. If you call Viking up with a problem they will send you somebody or the part to fix it. I was on the new viking 60 at the Annapolis boat show and, that thing is just sick. I hope I get the chance to work on a boat like that. I know vikings are a Little wet but I'snt fishing an aquatic sport I mean WTF arn't the mate's supposed to havesomething todo when you get back to the docks, other then pic up girls on the back of a Viking

Oh Anthony.....not that I disagree with everything you are saying here but let's not confuse shear volume with quality or customer service. Walk those same docks and you will see more Viks than Hatteras, Cabo, and Bayliss boats too but it doesn't mean that they aren't good products with excellent support. I think they all build some nice rides as does Jersey Cape IMHO.

As for girls - have you seen some of the talent that ends up on the back of that 48 Cavileer/JC on B-dock? OMG Besides, shouldn't you be too busy twisting wire or polishing the curtains or something!

Yes I have seen those girls, and every once in a while I see some nice talent on that Monterry on B-Dock also. All we have on D-dock is the russian girls. I just talked to one of the dock girls a few nights ago she said shes bringing some girl friends this summer to work, it should be a good summer.

Pual I wish I was twisting wire or hanging by my feet polishing that tower. My favorite is waxing and polishing the engine room. Any of that would beat being stuck in West Virginia.

Wouldn't a better battle between the production heavy weights be Viking vs. Bertram or Hatteras. I think Jersey Cape would be a better Battle between Ocean, Post, Henriques and Egg Harbor.

Billy is wise! i agree Billy, like i said........until you show you can knock out the champ. its hard to get a date in the ring. heavy weights fear no one!

havent ridden on a 48 JC, but I was not very impressed with the 48 viking I worked on not so long ago. Ride was slightly better than OK, but wallowed bad in a following sea, was wet in a 4' head sea, and is still, to date, the only boat I've ridden on that took a NON-BREAKING 6' swell over the gunnel trolling beam-to, meaning the boat leaned into the swell face and stayed there. doused both 130's in salt water. the pit, bridge, and accesories were very nice, but I was not impressed with the ride at all.

Say do you have any feed back on a Cabo 48

Who has been in business for 45 years? Viking

Who builds there own hull molds? Viking

Who buys someone else's old hull mold and renames them? Jersey Cape

Who is an industry leader in product design? Viking

Who has better service? Viking

What boat would have a better resale value? Viking

Who will be in business in 20 years? Viking

I can go on, buy a Viking. Having spent time fishing both products the Viking is a superior product
