I just bought one in Palm Beach,and was told by the broker that I have 90 days to change the Documentation-and no problem using the boat until.I havent spoke with her yet,but several friends in Jacksonville Fl.highly recommend a specialistr named, Peggy Vann-in Jax.

When you buy a boat and are waiting on it to be redocumented they should give you a Temporary Cruise Certificate. Usually only takes around 90 days, if it's been 5 months you probably should do some checking.
