Nice progress. Keep the pictures coming.

I'm sure she's going to be a very nice ride.

I'd like to see how they install the stringers for the engine beds and how they tie them into the frames.

There's a 53' built by Sullivan on this site that's in for a repower. I found it odd that they are sistering in frames on the hull sides. Have you discussed this with the builder? Now's the time to add strenght if they are having issues with deflection.

Coming along nicely Keith.

Fortunate One, we are sistering the frames and engine stringers on the 53' because she is 17 years old and has been half way around the world and back and is getting bigger engines. The boat is going faster now than it was designed to go back then so we decided to stiffen her up a bit. As technology changes the builders follow. Keith will have a stong boat based on what Bobby is building him.

Yep,

I suspected that was the case. More HP more Torque, the greater the need to provide a rock solid base from which to use all of the new found HP. Good luck to the both ouf you guys, They sure are pretty looking boats.

Great progress there CB&T.

What are the weight projections and what type of power are you going with?

What is the deadrise for the boat, forward, amidship and stern?

UPDATE: 42' Bobby Sullivan

Capt. Brian Daley, All the wood used for this project is Juniper. Bobby's building techniques are Planking over frames Where the boat is built upright. A cold molded boat is built over a engineered jig upside down. A totally diff. type of building technique.

Fortunate One, The deadrise in the stern is around 9 degrees, Gradually increases amidship, through the bow. The weight will be between 19,000 to 24,000 pounds. I am installing a QSM11 670 hp electronic engine.
