UPDATE: 42' Bobby Sullivan
We moved the boat on Saturday September 27, 2008. The company, that moved the boat for me, told me this was the first time in 6 years they had moved a boat on a Saturday. A little sanding is left and then she can be painted. From there we will put her in the water to have the tower installed. Slowly but surely she is coming along.
Getting loaded onto the hydraulic trailer.
Another angle getting loaded on the trailer.
top view. coverboards are all finished. just needs a little more sanding and it will be ready to be painted.
she should be getting painted this coming Wednesday October 8, 2008.
Back of the boat.
All loaded and ready to go.
Just pulled out on the road in front of Bobby’s shop
making the turn onto 158 from Bobby's street, just before the Wright Memorial Bridge
Another pic of her pulling onto 158.
Going through the town of Manteo, right down the main road.
Another pic going though Manteo.
Backing down the street to the driveway of the new shop she will be finished.
Another pic
Backing down the street
The new shop she will be in to get painted. (Shop looks very similar to Bobby’s)
She will finish being sanded and then painted this Wednesday October 8, 2008.
I'm surprised with a single screw that you didn't install a bow thruster in her. I've owned a single screw boat and it can be stressful at times.
The sidepower thruster is going into my new twin screw 48'er.
With slips to tight these days I figured I'd spend the money, if it saves me from one incident I figure it would be money well spent.
In addition to that I wanted the boat to be able to be handled by one person. I saw a gentleman come into port recently on his 40' commuter. Parked the thing like a car, tied it off and went on his merry way.
Good luck selling the boat. Even with the talking heads claiming the sky is falling, I'm sure there are people in the market to buy. And that certainly looks like a nice boat.
