    Underwater Transom Lights?

OK, I have checked around and looked at different types. Ocean's lights are out of sight in pricing. I can check web sites and talk to reps, but I really I am looking for the good, the bad, and ugly from people that have them. Since we are looking to put in Interceptor trim tabs, I really am interested in thru-hulls or surface mounted round lights as opposed to bars or strips of lights.

try abysslite and I know if you are listed as a boatbuilder you will get a 40% discount. I saw some on a powercat and I think they were s800 blues and they are quite bright

I have the Abyss lights and they work great. I can tell you that they stand behind their products too. I returned a pair that were 3 years old and they replaced them without any problems. Great company and easy to deal with.

    Fritz,

I tried the Ocean LED Amphibian A6s for the first time this past year, and they performed great. A quick Google search shows them around $399/light. I put two along the bottom of my stern, facing backwards, and they put out alot of light. The install was easy too. Just drill the hole for the cord, and then secure the light(s) to the hull using plenty 3M adhesive of your choice. I went with the clear because I wanted to see the fish clearly, and also the kids love to watch baitfish at night at the slip in the summer. The first night in the canyons last summer, we were drifting on a break loaded with weed, mahi, small yellowfins, etc. The lights really brought in the life, and the radius of light in back of the boat was about 20 yards in the clear blue water. i like these better than the through hulls since the only hole made was 3/8" diameter for the wire. Good luck.

Chunking? Perish the thought! You know me better than that. I only want them to look good at the Canyon Club.
