I have the AL 100 's, they are nice, whEn they leaked a bit they took them back and refurbished them. They are leaking again this time after only one season, I'm sure they will fix them but it's a PIA to take them in and out. It is a good product for the price but for a few hundred more dollars I would get different ones that don't leak

I have a set of al50x on my ocean. they are the older ones. i have had my share of problems with them since I bought the boat. called them about options on upgrading the internals. i might as well buy new ones.

    Thumbs up Aqua Lights

I just thought I'd chime in with something positive to say about Aqua Lights products. I installed four of their AL75H halogen lights about 5 years ago and they have never leaked. My only complaint would be that the halogens are a big power drain. I then started reading about the benefits of LED because of low maintenance and low power draw so I started shopping around and called Aqua lights to see what they could offer since I'd had pretty good luck with their stuff. Turned out they had a brand new LED light (AL90L) that wasn't even on their website yet and told me I could just buy the new insert and it would fit in my existing housings. I bought them and just put them in and their very bright and draw only about 1/4 the amps. It's still going to be a while before they hit the water in LI Sound but I'll post a picture when I do.

Bottom line...I recommend Aqua Lights. They've never leaked in 5+ years and they offered me an affordable upgrade option instead trying to pushed me into new lights.

I have dealt with many of the cheaper model underwater lights and you get what you pay for . I havent heard of aqua lights and the water leaks is a serious issue. I will take a look at their lights in a bit but be very leary on new lights they definatly are not as powerful and do not do the job see if they can point you to a boat that has them installed where you can go look at them and see if they do the proper job .

I have 2 of their 600 watt lights on the bottom and 2 of their 175 watt lights on the transom. Lights are fantastic. Burned out one of the ballasts on one of the 175's after 3 years. And of course a few bulb burnouts. They are great. These things are so well designed and machined that leaking is not a problem whatsoever. Would suggest you put them on a timer so that you can automatically run them say an hour a week while the boat is docked so you clean growth off the lens

However, they have the single worst customer service I have ever seen in any company I have ever dealt with. Sent the wrong bulbs. Said they would send new ones. About 10 calls later still didn't have the right bulbs. Wouldn't return the money. Had to go to the credit card company over it.

And your post just reminded me that I have to order that new ballast and get it in before the season starts and their website seems to be down so I hope they still exist.

After poking around on the internet and doing some reading here aqualights don't seem to be a concern they look to provide all that is needed can't wait to check them out myself. I have a customer looking at them and I guess I will be seeing these in person soon!

You scared me a little HT about their site being down. I just checked it and it's fine and I called them just to be sure and a sales guy named Jeremy assured me they were still in business and very busy. He did say they were updating the website over the weekend and that may have caused some hick ups if that's when you tried it.

Here's a link to the site. http://aqualights.us Jeremy also said a dozen new lights would be showing up on the site over the next week. Also, just for the record, I've been dealing with Aqua Lights for over 5 years and customer service has always be good. I'm really surprised to hear that.

    Cheers!

I installed a pair of Al175MH lights in 2007 they have worked fine for me. No Issues with leaks bulbs can be changed from inside while the boat is in the water. Pretty happy with them overall.
