    twin disc service

Has anyone ever had a good experiance with twin disc warranty work or service after warranty? After two experiances with them I will never spec a boat with twin disc gears.I smoked a clutch pack a few years ago and they would'nt even come to the boat.In that case I bought a shop manual and fixed myself. This time I have a warranty issue and they show up at all hours to start work, they drag ass and don't seem to be very educated on the subject.

I have had fantastic service and warantee work.

I will never buy anything but a Twin Disc, ZF's are noisy.

    I second what Jay said,

I have a working relationship with Twin Disc, they are good gear's. But on the flip side ZF has been able to compete very strongly with them over the year's because they have slipped some (in my opinion) in quality and service. The old MG 6's, 7's, 9's can't be beat for longevity, problem is they don't build them any more. I have had very little problem with ZF either. Problem with them is they just went through a shake up and closed a load of branches, now they are working out of Lauderdale. I haven't had any dealing with them since this happened, I see a real negative to what they (at a cooperate level) have done by making this move. Frank

I guess I should'nt judge an entire company on one service location.
