Tube worms on shafts and props
Got a major buildup, due to inactivity over the past month. Gonna grind 'em off tomorrow. What can I do to keep them from coming back?
I've had various suggestions - bottom paint, wax, grease. Anybody have a successful method? |

i have mine on the hill now and a commercial guy with a large bruno type boat says he has been using (go ahead and laugh) sharpie magnum magic marker pens) on his wheels. He doesnt have any shaft exposed to speak of. i looked at his and sure enough that big ass wheel had sharpie magic marker all over it. So for 2.49$ I went and bought one yesterday and painted my wheel with it.cant be any worse than anythin else I have tried. After i applied it about an hour later I sprayed some antifoulant metal paint on it and it just ran off so between that and this commercial fishing guy saying it works , who knows. I will give a report in about 6 months on how it does if anyones interested.
