Here is my take on tabs. Lencos are the easiest to install and require no maintenance. Bennett's are harder to install but are more reliable. Both will serve you well, and really both are easy enough to install for a do-it-yourselfer. My brothers seacraft has lenco and what I notice with his are they repsond instantly, but the response is so fast it can be difficult to get them to move just s little bit for minor corrections. I like the fast response when you need to get the bow down quick to go through a wake or something. I have bennett on my seacraft and what I can say about them is they are much slower but much smoother, ands minor corrections are easy. The only maintenance is to check the oil level every so often, no big deal. Personally I think you will be happy with either. If you decide to go with Bennett look us up as we sell them.

Don't get too excited. I post an about 12 different forums on a regular basis so it's not like I broke up with an old girlfriend for a new one

I guess you could say I date lots of ladies, a regular hussy

My time is limited like everybody elses but hopefully I can pop in here from time to time to answer any Q's you guys have and to get my questions answered because I can't catch fish!

Here's a few pics of before/after my Lenco install. Whatever you get for tabs....measure....measure....measure....draw draw draw.....BEFORE drilling

My transom is such that it only allowe me to use the 12x12 Edge Mount tabs, due to a combination of the transom configuration, AND the platform brackets, AND my thru-hull water intake.

Install took an afternoon, measuring/drawing took a while LOL. I had to do it until I was absolutely sure of the ones I ordered and that they would fit perfect.

Also, the reason I poked my wires through a couple inches above the actuators is due to the configuration of my engine compartment inside......any lower than where I drilled, and I would have been under the floor at the rear.

Biggest thing is planning (notice my alternate placements......draw them on your hull to make sure you dont conflict, and pick the best position that way.

Looks good 74Form. It looks like you got just the right amount of 5200 on there as well. I second the notion of measure and double tripple check before you do any drilling. Its not an area for simple goof-ups. Great Job.

Yeh, I think they are bedded just fine in 5200 LOL. Got it to just ooze out of every seam or edge once the screws were cranked down
