Mr Clean Magic Eraser will remove the soot... Best damn cleaning product available....

Finally got my sooting under control - It was so bad that we often had to clean the lines and rods before starting to fish...

Had to have the timing adjusted, injectors replaced, coolers cleaned... All along I was turning proper RPM...

Simple as this:

Collinite, only brand i use

1) Cleaner Wax

2) Reg Wax

3) Car soap (DO NOT USE SPRAY NINE OR HEAVY DUTY CLEANERS, you'll strip the wax)

I'll take pics of the hull on our 01' 305 albemarle, you'll be amazed.

Colinites is the best stuff going. Keep a good coat on the transom. Soap and water at the end of the day, soot should come right off

Transom Smoke

In the yard we use on and off hull cleaner, then purple power, each time pressure washing in between ,then meguires rv oxidizer remover, then polish, finish up w/pure carnuba. We still have to use a cleaner wax on the transom 3 to 4 times a year. This is a '76 35' Bertram that looks better coming out of the water in the yard than most do going back in.
