    Exclamation Tranny Mayday!!!

    Got gear but reading 0 oil pressureon port side. Codes and alarms going but tranny works fine... I'm sure its a sensor or sending unit but not sure wich of the ones on her is the pressure one. I don't want to get disconnecting something wrong and have neutral safety switch issues or kill something else. My google is acting up so I can't even get an answer there. Anyone got a detroit/ alison schematic?

    Well I''l be dipped... Cleaned off name plate and shes a ZF Hurth... Not expecting that with a detroit tacked to it. Anyway. Now I need someone in OC to come up with a pressure guage /sending unit and install... Any recommendations?

    could not find anything worthy of sending you

    how about swapping the sensors from the other engine/tranny ?

    I would try Edwards Marine or maybe even Alban.I am sure Cummins in Glen Burnie would have it worse case.

    Oh I have pressure. Just reading zilch. Alarms give me a headache and anxiety... Like things to be right so I can focus. Seeing a zero where I'm used to 348 will definately distract me... Temp guage riding good. Functioning just fine... Just a headache...
    Gotta find a guage and installer now...

    Sender

    Shortfin has it right. Switch the sender from the other gear. Takes 15 minutes. Doing as much troubleshooting as you can on your own before your mechanic gets there will save you a lot.

    Then what? Still have a bad sender that needs to get replaced in a far off town on a weekend...
