    Topaz 32 Opinions?

    Considering a 2005 - 2006 Topaz 32 with C7 460 Cats.

I beleive they have a good reputation as they company has been around for a while.

Was looking for any opinions from anybody out there that has one or has fished on one.

Appreciate any info you could give me.

    Thanks

    I like Topaz boats...

I have personaly run a 28' a 39' Royal 'Capt Grunt' Storellies boat a 44' Sportfish cabin rig 'Predator' the Salsburgs.. They ride a 8 on the scale for me.. they will slam sometmes in heavy seas and chop... but for a good economical rig when its flat and a great family / fishing boat. so you get there 20 minutes latter ... actually you get there when you get there! big wide boat prop them right balance the power and you will smile. They were a great bahamas boat set up.

She will not ride as well as your 28 Classic in a headsea. I've no experience on the boats built in New Jersey but much experience on the Topaz's built in Maryland by Pat Pateson & am assuming his molds are still being used by the NJ builder. Topaz went out of business in the early 90's & did not resurface until '99 or 2000 in NJ..........

I admit that I am biased toward Carolina Classic but why wouldn't you consider moving up to a CC 32?

I've run an 04 32' Topaz with the same power as you're looking at for the past four seasons. Positives: I love the hull & the look, finish is great, ride is solid, large amount of room in cockpit, cruise around 26 kts, tops out around 34 kts, raises fish, good cabin layout, feels bigger then a 32'.

Negatives: like many express style boats it is loud, the seating setup is a bit weird, fuel economy is not great, the in-deck rear cooler is not insulated well and does not hold ice!!!!! (That is my biggest complaint about the boat)

Ive seen that model and it very nice, I am biased though my Bimini was originally the 24 topaz battlewagon.
Seems like the price is pretty good for a 32

The 32 rides different than all the other Topaz models it is the only one with a little more V in the transom than the others. It is a good boat for its size. This boat is for sale in N.J. call 609 884 0262. The boat is very nice. It has the Cat T/3126 420 h.p. the boat is an '04. Just under 500 hrs. Great shape loaded with all the right stuff. Asking $250,000.

Wave Walker - Thanks. That's the kind of feedback I was looking for. How about customer service from the manufacture?

    Bvette - Very Nice boat.
