I grew up on a 31 Tiara and we beat the snot out of that boat. Fished in some nasty stuff and never had a problem. Only problem we ever had was that we put to many hours on the motors and if we had kept it would of had to replace them. Due to my fathers medical conditions at the time, we had to sell it. That was back in 91-92

I fished a 42 Tiara open a few years ago and the boat really rode well. We fished it in a tournament with some 10' seas and the ride was really good considering how rough it was. When it was calm it woul haul the mail to. I think it had Cummins QSM 8s in it and it was a 2005 model I believe. It was laid out nice for fishing and overnighting. The only thing I didn't like about the boat was the angle of the transom. You had to be careful bringing lines with weights or planers in as the bottom of the transom at the waterline stuck out farther than the top side and you could easily hit the boat with the sinkers or planers. I was impressed with the boat and it was comfortable fishing in 5-6' as we did that multiple times on this boat.
