You're in the club now for sure, welcome! WAY better than a starter, I had similar problems but it turned out to be the main battery cables going in the motor corroded in two inside the insulation. Seems a hook must have poked a hole in the sheathing and let salt in. Would start intermittently depending on which way the motor was turned. Thought starter but after seeing them over $400, checked a LOT harder and found the bad cable. Bet SeaTow/TowBoat sees this a whole lot!

Towed home and it was the kill switch? Better than being towed home and needing a new starter I guess.

Yeah your telling me holwachagot. I felt pretty silly to find out that was why I got towed in. When it happened though I was running down the ICW and a Sea Tow boat just happened to be running right behind me back about 100 yards. So as soon as the boat died I was in the middle of the channel and was just trying to stay safe and not get hit. Didn't really have time to look at it before I got towed since the Sea Tow boat was on me before I really had a chance to do anything. At least I didn't have to call them then wait, in which case I might have noticed the kill switch. Either way the gentleman from Sea Tow was VERY nice, and glad to help. Had one good looking beast *** chocolate Lab with him too.

    Long live the Suzuki
