    Suggestions for selling a boat

Last winter I built a 16' Chris Craft from a kit. It was a fun project, but I only used the boat 3 times this summer. Having two small kids and with most of my inshore boating being aroudn fishing, clamming, etc it really isn't the most practical platform so I am looking to pick up a RIB for next year which I can also tow behind our express for family cruising.

So my question is what is the bet way to market this rather oddball boat? Craigslist? EBay? Especially if I am not interested in meeting with a bunch of tirekickers to move it.

Pic of boat attached. She has a 50 ETec, trailer and goes 40 knots if you have the nerve.....

Looks like you did a good job on the build. Have you tried posting it in the items for sale or boats for sale on this site? I friend of mine put his 23 ft cc on used boats.com I think and he sold it that way but it cost him some money to list it

    Robja,

I have not listed it yet for two reasons:

    1) Not sure how much to ask for it.
    2) Afraid of listing it in a way where I can't deal with the responses as I am kind of limited on time right now.

Still kind of kicking it around to figure out what to do. Apprecaite the insight.

I recently had luck selling a boat on Craigslist. I had a bunch of calls and believe it or not the first person who looked at it bought it! WOW! Wouldn't it be nice if that was the case every time!!

    Selling the boat

I had great sucess selling my last boat on this site, when two separate boat brokers could not. If you really want to sell it, put it in the Canyon Club [Cape May] parking lot with a sales sign for a couple of weeks and it will be gone. There are alot of guys that would like a pretty little boat like that to buzz around in on weekends.

My kit was 3900$. PM me if you want details.

All - thanks for the info. I think I will sit tight until spring and then try craigslist and a couple other sites.
